Age 25, single, no previous experience. In case of injury notify father of grandfather Joseph Sluttz, No. 55 Colledge St., Huntington, Ind. His attention called particularly to rules 202 to 208, also 228. Enters service as freight brakeman, Chicago Division at 3 p.m., Nov. 1st, 1899. Dismissed April 29th, 1900 to reduce the force.

Reemployed Oct. 3rd, 1900 as brakeman on the Chicago Division.

Discharged July 6th, 1901 to reduce force. Reemployed July 22nd, 1901 as brakeman, Chicago Division.

(Illegible) 13, 1905, promoted to regular passenger brakeman.
