C.W. LONGWELL
Age 24, married, entered the service of this company as freight brakeman, October 18th, 1889.

Suspended 10 days on March 5 for breaking flat car at Levings, carelessness. Promoted to freight conductor, 1 p.m. June 24th, 1892. Suspended 7 days from April 2nd for failure to relieve conductor Welles at North Judson as ordered March 14th, 1893. Reprimanded for pulling down main track at North Judson on No. 32, Oct. 3rd, 1893 on short time on No. 5, causing a delay of ten minutes to that train.

On March 10th, 1899, with 2nd 90, engine 769, had until 4:38 to make Laketon for train 3. Under the rule should have been in the clear at 4:33. They were not in the clear and train 3 running by block struck caboose between 4:37 and 4:38. Train should have been into clear at 4:33 or protected.
