Entered service as brakeman April 10th, 1883. Promoted to freight conductor May 1st, 1883. Promoted to passenger conductor Aug. 1st, 1886. Married.

Suspended 30 days January 15th for stopping for water at State Ditch and not protecting train (No. 12). Suspended 10 days June 8th for failing to be on hand for train for train 3 June 2nd, 1890, thereby causing serious delay to that train and other inconveniences to passengers, etc. Suspended 15 days from March 15th for failure to issue mileage exchange checks on No. 12, Feb. 26th, 1894. Discharged June 2nd, 1894 for violation of Rule 202 on various and diverse occasions. Last offense May 8th, 1894 at Chicago.
