Age 22 years, single. Residence Alliance, Ohio. Father's name James Sloan, Alliance, Ohio. Formerly with Pennsylvania Company in Laurence Jct. Yard about three months. Refers to George Patterson, yardmaster at Laurence Jct. Enters C&E service as brakeman, Sept. 19th, 1891.

Suspended 7 days for refusing to come out at Hammond on freight with an engine pilot on tank, June 24, 1892. Suspended 30 days for assaulting conductor G.B. Sewell on station platform, Huntington, June 21st, 1894. In effect June 25th.

Killed instantly at Delong Nov. 15th, 1894, by slipping and falling while in the act of changing a link. Walking backwards, slipped and fell and cars ran over him.
