EDWARD MARCUS KEEFE, a veteran passenger conductor of the Erie Railroad, died suddenly at his home on West First Street, Oil City, PA. Although he had not been in rugged health for a number of years, yet he was able to continue at work. He suffered an attack of lumbago which resulted in death.

He was in charge of a passenger train running between Meadville and Oil City for about 20 years, but up to four years ago made his home at Salamanca, NY.

He is survived by his widow and two sons, Arthur Keefe of Meadville, and Christy Keefe of Oil City; also by two brothers and two sisters, William of Oil City, Michael of Meadville, Mrs. Ellen Bable of New York, and Mrs. Mary Walker of Meadville.

Deceased was a charter member of Meadville lodge, Order of Railway Conductors, and of the "Old Reliables" of Des Moines, whose membership is comprised of old-time railroad men.
