Entered service of C&E as freight brakeman, Western Division, Dec. 14, 1891. Age 21, residence Huntington. No previous experience.

Suspended 10 days Feb. 2, 1892 for not coming when called. Suspended 7 days for not going when called July 9th, 1893. Suspended 10 days from Jan. 16th, 1893 for leaving rear end too far when train parted, Jan. 4th on C&WI. Suspended 5 days from Sept. 19th for failure to report at office as witness on investigation Sept. 13th, 1892. Discharged May 6th, 1893 to reduce the force.
