Entered service May 15, 1888, age 21.

Suspended two weeks March 23rd for allowing 3 drawbars to be broken on his train, March 9th, 1889. Suspended 10 days June 3rd, 1889 for breaking in 2 three miles of Wilders May 28th, 1889, not discovering it until he got to Kouts. Suspended 10 days for leaving switch wrong in the Hammond yard Dec. 15th, 1889 after setting out four cars. On March 6th, suspended 30 days for disregarding yardmaster's orders to not throw switch, etc., insubordinate.

Promoted to Conductor, Nov. 29th, 1890.

Did not get flag out the proper distance for 53 at Aldine, Feb. 23rd, 1892. Reprimanded. Reprimanded April 27th for delaying No. 13 at Bolivar April 6th, 1892.

Taken off regular car and set back to extra list July 17th, 1892 for poor work on Joliet(?) gravel train. Suspended 7 days from Sept. 9th for leaving two Chicago loads at Hammond in error Aug. 18th, 1892. Suspended 20 days from Dec. 10th for failure to carry signals out of Hammond on 3rd 86 for engine 466 running as 4th 86, Dec. 9th, 1892. Suspended 7 days from April 3rd for blocking Wabash crossing at Newton 27 minutes, March 4th, 1893 and making false statements about it.

Conductor Cribb having claimed he was older in the service than above record shows. Old C&A payrolls were examined and show that the first work performed by him was the month of May, 1888 in which he earned $16.19. See File 208, Supt's. Office. HDM. Feb. 16, 1895

Suspended 7 days from March 22 for failure to register at 55th Street (Chicago) on No. 389, Feb. 28th, 1895. Reprimanded for not sending wheel reports in promptly at close of trip June 14th, 1896. Suspended 5 days from Dec. 19th on account of could not be found by Caller at Huntington Dec. 18th, 1896. Suspended 5 days from Jan. 20 for not pulling up far enough to hold No. 14 at Griffith on 1st 78, Jan. 8th, 1897, 14 waiting to get into the siding for No. 5, and by the time Cribb pulled up held G.T. Pass. 5 minutes.

Suspended 10 days from June 28th for failure to mail wheel reports promptly at close of trip on May 24th, 25th and 26th and for delaying important correspondence.

"January 19, 1899 on 2nd 90, handled C&E Car No. 6247 from Chicago to Huntington on car's bill for Erie Car No. 6247."

Dec. 4th, 1900 - discharged.
