Age 30 years, married, residence Detroit, Mich. In case of accident notify wife. Formerly with GT about 8 years as fireman and engineer, since then with the MC for about 20 months as switchman. Has good letter from GT and refers to E. Fisher, Asst. Supt., MC, Jackson, Mich. Enters the service as brakeman, Sept. 22nd, 1891.

Suspended 10 days Nov. 9th, 1891. Threw switch wrong derailing two cars. Suspended 7 days from April 2nd for damage to cars at Servia, Feb. 16th, 1893. Suspended 10 days for quarreling with and abusing yardmaster at Huntington, March 30th, 1894. Suspended 10 days on account of No. 87 parting and colliding at Kankakee, Oct. 11th, 1894. He was not watching train as he should. Suspended one round trip for shoving over stop block at Crown Point spur on No. 82 of Dec. 16th, 1896. Suspended 5 days from Sept. 30th for failure to couple on a car delivered from the Vandalia at DeLong on No. 87 of Sept. 8th, 1897.

Promoted to freight conductor, Sept. 10, 1900.
