Entered service as brakeman, Jan. 13th, 1890. Age 34 years (April, 1890), married.

Suspended 10 days from Nov. 14, 1891 for throwing wrong switch at 51 st Street, Chicago, put engine in track where cab could not clear. Failed to protect rear of his train at Newton against No. 56, January 6th, 1893. Discharged Jan 19th, 1893.
