Born 04/23/1866, Richmond, IN. Entered service 09/08/1888. Promoted to extra conductor, Aug. 26th, 1891.

Suspended 10 days Jan. 19th, 1892 for hauling NYLE&W 24364 to Chicago when car was routed via Griffith. Reprimanded for (unintelligible) engine 338 at west end of North Judson yard June 19th, 1892.

Reprimanded for leaving his train (No. 30) on main track at Griffith west of crossing while he worked in EJ&E yard. Resulted in one hour delay to 2nd 81, June 26th, 1893. Suspended 7 days for failure to doo all work at Hammond on No. 30, Oct. 14th, 1893.

Severely reprimanded Aug. 7th for failure to see that Engineer Pettys put out green signals on 2nd 84, July 29th, 1894, leaving Hammond for 3rd 84 after promising his conductor, George Mace (for whom he was acting as head brakeman) that he would see that it was done.

Suspended 5 days from August 27 for not replacing a car being loaded with lumber by Lidecker and Co. at Akron after doing work there on No. 82, August 7, 1897.

January 22nd, 1899, on 3rd 86, handles QOL car No. 274 from Chicago to Huntington on car bill for QOL car No. 724.
