Erie Railroad Biography - John H. Mallon


From the March, 1930 issue of Erie Railroad Magazine:
John H. Mallon, veteran Erie employee, died last month at his home, 69 Prince Street, Paterson, in his 72nd year. Mr. Mallon, who was a locomotive engineer, was in apparent good health a month before his death. He was always active and keenly interested in the railroad. Mr. Mallon retired last summer. His article in the Erie Magazine of last August, describing the great blizzard of 1888, attracted much attention. Mr. Mallon was a member of the Holy Name Society, Engineers' local 135, and St. John's Catholic Church. He is survived by his widow, Sarah Glover Mallon.
