Erie Railroad Biography - John K. Medrick



From the March, 1920 issue of Erie Railroad Magazine:
JOHN K. MEDRICK—After running as engineer on the Erie for more than forty-six years, John K. Medrick is reported dead in the Port Jervis Union, his death occurring at his home in that city. Pneumonia was the cause, and his age was 63 years. His last charge was the Mountain express. Fraternally, he held membership in the Port Jervis lodge of Masons, also the Elks, Middletown chapter, Cyprus Commandery and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. Decedent is survived by his widow, three brothers and two sisters.
