Erie Railroad Biography - James Van Dyne


From the January, 1908 issue of Erie Magazine (Port Jervis News):
Engineer J.A. Van Dyne was elected a member of the Board of Adjustment of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, Division No. 54, in January 1908.

After a prolonged illness, James A. VanDyne, one of the Erie's old engineers, died at his home in Waldwick, N.J. Engineer VanDyne was formerly a resident of Port Jervis, N.Y., where he was well and favorably known.
