L.C. GARDNER
Age 31, married, residence at Huntington, IN. Formerly with the Wabash Railway 3 years as brakeman. Enters C&E service as brakeman, Western Division, Sept. 5th, 1891.

Suspended 10 days Jan. 8, 1892 for not going proper distance to flag 13 at West Point 12/27/1891. Reprimanded for throwing switch under caboose at Hammond on 2nd 86, Feb. 14th. Suspended 10 days from Oct. 14 for allowing his train, 2nd 94 of Oct. 13, 1893, to collide with a Monon freight at Wilders crossing.

Suspended 7 days from March 29th for damaging cars at North Judson March 2, 1895 by using poor judgement in doing work, did not apply brakes soon enough.

Lost his left hand coupling engine 762 to train at North Judson on 3rd 78, May 1st, 1898, which renders him unfit for the position of brakeman.
