Age 23, single. Residence Ottawa Lake, Mich. Six months as brakeman for LS&MS Ry. April 24, 1890, entered service of the C&E.

Suspended 7 days from Dec. 21st for throwing switch under engine 516 at Rochester, Dec. 17th, 1892. Taken off Conductor Sewell's car for not getting on top of train at bad places, on request of conductor, March, 1893. Taken off Deerwester's car July 14th, 1893 on request of conductor, who said he was too slow about getting out at regular stopping places. Was notified repeatedly that his creditors were giving the officials of the company too much trouble, and finally told May 30th, 1894 to pay his bills or leave the service. On Jan. 31, 1904, granted 30 days leave of absence. March 1, 1904 (no further entries).
