Suspended 10 days from Jan. 13, 1887 for setting switch wrong and getting engine off track in 51st St. Yard. Suspended 10 days from May 24th for letting engine 52 off derail at Griffith crossing on April 20th. Entire crew suspended. Suspended 10 days from Nov. 11, 1890 for disobeying rule 117.

Promoted to conductor, Sept. 4, 1891. Suspended 7 days from Feb. 18, 1892 for 13 minutes delay to #12 at Aldine, Feb. 12. Suspended 30 days for allowing his train (1st 84) to collide with 1st 82 at Palmer, March 18, 1892. Suspended 10 days from Sept. 17th for striking No. 13 at Newton water tank on 4th 81, Sept. 16th, 1892. Reprimanded and held off 3 days for delaying No. 1 22 minutes at Rochester, Oct. 22nd, 1892. Suspended 30 days from Dec. 5th for leaving State Line on No. 389, Dec. 2nd, 1892, against No. 386 with an order to meet them at Hammond. That (order) had not been made complete or received OK, and had written across the face the word "busted." Resulted in a head end collision near Hammond Draw Bridge. Discharged for being intoxicated Jan. 19th, 1893.
