WILLIAM FURSTENBERGER
22 years, married, resides at Huntington, IN. Notify wife on case of accident. No previous experience. Recommended by conductor V.D. Singer. Enters C&E service as brakeman, Western Division, Jan. 27th, 1892.

Responsible for $10 damage to LE&W 8568 at Rochester June 7th, 1892. Suspended five days. Discharged May 6th, 1893 to reduce the force.

Reemployed May 15th, 1893 and restored to all former rights. Suspended 8 days for failure to keep a better lookout after rear end while acting as head brakeman on 2nd 86, March 7th, 1894, train parted at Boone Grove and head end went to Kouts, rear portion having been stopped at east switch at Boone Grove. Reprimanded for breaking two drawbars making a running switch at Bippus on No. 31, May 1st, 1895. Suspended 10 days for damage and derailment at Ora sand pit on No. 32, May 20th, 1895, used bad judgement in giving cars too much start and did not begin to set brakes in time. Cars went up on bank.

Assigned May 24, 1900 to position of extra passenger brakeman. On August 27, 1900, promoted to regular passenger brakeman.
