WILLIAM VORHEES JAMISON
Age 28, married, 2 children, resides Huntington, Ind. Entered C&E service as brakeman Jan. 15th, 1893.

Suspended 10 days from Feb. 13th for derailment of Eng. 3 at Palmer, Jan. 26th, 1893. Pulled off to reduce the force April 25th, 1893. Reemployed Sept. 18, 1893. Discharged to reduce the force Jan. 31st, 1894. Reemployed July 12th, 1894.

Suspended 5 days from April 20th for not being in proper place on No. 83, March 17, 1897, when acting as head brakeman. Interlocking was out of use and his train had orders to make a dead stop for Wabash crossing at Newton. He was out on air cars instead of being where brakes he set could do some good.

Backed train through switch leading from siding at Calumet Drawbridge to the "Y": Cautioned to be more careful.

Promoted to freight conductor on Oct. 3, 1902.

From the Monday, June 16, 1913 issue of the Rochester News-Sentinel:
Fifty years ago today, Mr. & Mrs. Thomas E. JAMISON, who reside at the corner of Main and 11th streets, were married at the home of her father in Clinton county. For the past 35 years, this couple has resided in Fulton county, in Rochester most of the time. . . .Mr. & Mrs. Jamison were married June 16, 1863. To them have been born seven children, four of whom are dead. William [JAMISON], who is an Erie conductor, lives in Huntington, Mrs. Ella PLOUGH makes her home in Marion, and Frank [JAMISON], who is a minister, resides in Lebanon, Oregon. There are nine grandchildren. Mr. Jamison is nearly 69 years of age, while his consort is 71.

From the February, 1936 issue of Erie Railroad Magazine:
The golden wedding anniversary of William V. and Ella Jamison was fittingly celebrated Jan. 6 at their home, 515 Mayne Street, Huntington, with their children. Mr. Jamison has been with the Erie Railroad 47 years, being employed at the present time as a conductor. The couple were married 50 years ago in Rochester, IN by the Rev. A.O. Raber of the Evangelical Church. Their children are Russell, Virgil and Leroy, Huntington; Donald Jamison, Naperville, IL; Mrs. Stella Pease, and Roy Jamison and daughter Ruth at home.
