Jasper A Byrd, 79, 808 Rector Road, died Monday at his home.

He was a native of Missouri but had been a Greene County resident for the past 50 years. Byrd was a retired plumber, painter and paper hunger.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Opal Byrd, two sons, Clarence, Jackson, Miss., and Tommy, Imperial, Mo.; a daughter, Mrs. Lottie Morgan, Dobbin, Calif., a sister, Mrs. Bessie Hinton: 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral was Wednesday in the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. J. W. Gibbs, Burial was in Linwood Cemetery by the Mitchell Funeral Home.

Jasper Anthony BYRD, worked at the Lion Oil Company, was born September 30, 1889 in Clay County, Arkansas, and died December 23, 1968 aged 68 in Paragould, and was buried at the Linwood Cemetery .

He was the son of Lod Byrd, born about 1871 in Arkansas and Mary Francis Langley, a homemaker, born about 1871 in Arkansas. Jasper married Isabel (Belle) May Whitworth about 1912 in Paragould.
