Mexican War - Civil War: 1. John Stahlmann500 > John enlisted in the Mexican War, but the war closed before he reached the scene of battle. He served during the greater part of the civil war in the Mo. Militia, but joined the United States Army before the close. While in St. Louis awaiting transportation to the front, he became disabled by an accident and was discharged. WW II: 1. Bert Vernon Stahlman519 > Bert > Emil > Julius > John Stahlmann Bert served his country during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps, entering July 23, 1942, and receivng his honorable discharge on January 16, 1946. 2. Milton Vemmer549 > Milton was a Brother-In-Law to Keith Stahlman. Keith > Roy > William > Julius > John Stahlmann Milton served his country in the U.S. Army in World War II from December 1944 to May 1946. 3. Howard J. Wagner552 > Howard was a Brother-In-Law to Monroe Stahlman. Monroe > Benjamin > John > John Stahlmann Howard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. 4. Arthur R. Wagner553 > Arthur was a Brother-In-Law to Monroe Stahlman. Monroe > Benjamin > John > John Stahlmann Arthur served his country in the U.S. Army as a technician fifth grade during World War II, entering on June 13, 1942, and receiving his honorable discharge on Nov. 26, 1946. Elmer joined the Army Air Corp. in World War II and spent many years in the Western Pacific earning many commendations, including the Bronze Star. Harvey served as a PFC first class during WW II. The Korean War: 1. Ralph David Bandy533 > Ralph was the Father-In-Law to Carl Stahlman. Carl > George > Edwin > Julius > John Stahlmann Ralph served his country in the United States Army serving from May 1952 until May 1954 in the Korean War and was transferred to the reserves to complete 8 years of service. 2. William Everett Payton546 > William was the second husband to Jewell (DeClue) Stahlman. Jewell was first married to Edward Stahlman. Edward > William > Julius > John Stahlmann William served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, receiving his honorable discharge on October 27, 1954. 3.
