Johan Theodore and Anna Marie Busse - Stalmann

Johan Theodore Stalmann was born circa 1780 in Bakum County, Oldenburg, Germany and married Anna Marie BUSSE.

Together they had one son, Theodore Heinrich, born Dec. 3, 1802 in Bakum. It is believed Anna Marie passed away following the birth of Theodore.  Theodore Heinrich married Bernardina ENDEMANN and they had one daughter, Antonetta Bernardina, b. Apr. 19, 1850. Theodore and Bernadina were cottage farm laborors in Weihe by Bakum. Theodore passed away Nov. 17, 1869,  in Bakum at 66 years, 11 months and 11 days.

NOTE: I found your web page and I thought I'd give you a few more names to add. The marriage of Theodore Heinrich STALLMAN and Henrica Bernardina ENDEMANN produced a total of 5 children, not just 1. Before I give you the names, I should mention that I am related only to Henrica Bernardina ENDEMANN and not Theodor Henrich STALLMAN. Since you are from the STALLMANN side, it looks like we are not related. Nevertheless, we are both related to their offspring. The children are:

1. Elisabeth *4 Dec 1835, oo Carl Anton 'KALKOFF' AVERBECK 5 Jun 1860. Carl's birth name was KALKOFF, but through farming
inheritance he changed his name to his wife's name, AVERBECK.   The children of Elisabeth STALLMANN and Carl Anton
    AVERBECK are:  a). Clemens Anton * 30 Apr 1861  b.)Theodor August * 5 Jan 1864  c.)Heinrich August * 17 Sep 1867
2. Josephina Theodora Bernardina * 30 May 1838, oo Anton SIEMER 11 Oct 1870
3. Carolina Bernardina * 2 Jan 1842
4. Theodor Henrich * 24 Dec 1845
5. Antonetta Bernardina * 19 Apr 1850

*Johan Theodore and Elisabeth Busse - Stalmann

Johan next married Anna Marie's sister, Elisabeth (or so it appears).

According to records, another child, * Bernard Heinrich, born Apr. 3, 1805, at Bakum, is recorded as having been born to Johan, but this one was born to him and   Elisabeth BUSSE (as shown on the marriage certificate of Bernard Heinrich Stallman and Catharina Bernardina Siemer.)

The Stalmanns were laborers and of the Catholic faith. They were members of St. Johannes Baptist Catholic Church, Bakum, as evidenced by a copy of the marriage license from the marriage register of the church.

Stalmanns were "freeholders" of land near WEIHE, by Bakum, having 30 hectares of land, 15 of which were in the region of Lohne. Siemers were also landowners near Bakum, in Lohne, having 26 hectares, listed on the tax rolls back to 1618. The land was parceled out in 1906.

As written by a German researcher (Helmuth Rehme) located by Jean Flannery, the following was first recorded in tax files: 1545 Gerd tor, Wiehe; 1618, Bernard tor Weihe; 1669, Lubbe Weihe. Parental farm of Bernard Stalmann. Now, I don't know just what this means, I am just repeating what Herr Rehme told us.  He  had forwarded  the letter on to the Oldenburg Society for Genealogy.
