The Poor Law and Settlement Documents of the Church of St John Hagley, Worcestershire 31 Mar 1780

Pool, Joseph, Labourer. Aged 23, born in Penn where his father was legally settled. When 19, hired for a year by Joseph Lane of Wolverhampton, chapman. Then went to Hagley and hired for a year by Revd. Mr Downing of Hagley. After ¾ of a year married Ann Brookes of Hagley but still continued to live with Mr Downing as a hired servant.
