The photograph below, with a key to the identities of the people shown, was taken at Oakfield, the Swindon home of William Henry Stanier. It shows all the living descendants of Thomas Stanier of Wolverhampton in 1888.

The Staniers of Swindon

This photograph confirms the identity of several people in an album of Cartes de Visite containing cartes taken mostly in Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Swindon. Those I can recognise are:-

Henry was uncle to the adult Staniers in the photograph, and was the British Vice-Consul to Granada.

J G Ayola is presumably José García Ayola (1836-1900), a well-known photographer in Granada.
