To participate in the DNA project, first
- Apply for the Y37 test at Family Tree DNA. (If money is no object, and you are interested in a deeper analysis of your Y-chromosome, you could instead apply for the Y67 or Y111 test, but 37 markers are enough for the purposes of the project)
- Fill in and return the pedigree form as much as you know.
When the test kit arrives, which may take several weeks, follow the instructions in the kit to taking and returning a swap of your inner cheek.
After a while, typically 6 to 8 weeks, you will receive your test results. Please send a copy of these to the Project Administrator, either by email to [email protected] or post to
