WillsandAdmons-Probate Index

ST. AUSTELL AREA
GENEALOGY

CHURCH OF ENGLAND PROBATE RECORDS; Index to Calendar 1773 - 1858,
and information back to 1715
transcribed by Rita Bone Kopp
(for the St. Austell History and Genealogy Website, Julia Mosman OPC )

For information regarding enquiries, see below.

This is a transcription by Rita Bone Kopp, OPC, of the LDS film 0090141, which lists all wills and bonds, and shows which LDS film includes those entries. Entries with an "x" in the ? column are doubtful. As these indices were handwritten over the centuries by various individuals, writing/spelling changes account for most problems.

All records marked with an "OV" could be on either the preceeding or following film.

Through 1799, Admons are on LDS films alphabetically by surname. For instance, the letter "T" for 1715 - 1745, is on LDS film number 0189696. From 1746-1772, "T" surnames are on LDS film number 0189697. From 1800 onward, the entries are by date, and the correct films are shown in this index.
