William & Pauline Dufresne's Children

Emélien D. Dufresne married Appoline Hubert in Bagot, listed in St-Dominique (S.Val).  Appoline's name was only listed as "Hubert Hubert."  They had three children in Québec, and they then immigrated to the United States and Americanized their names to William and Pauline.  They were in the Troy 1905 census.
 

  • Melinda Dufresne:  born 1873/4 in Quebec, Canada.
  • Rose Dufresne:  born 1875/6 in Quebec, Canada; she married John Fitzgerald.
  • Olivine Eva Dufresne:  born 1877/8 in Quebec, Canada, she died after 1920, a nurse.
  • Jeannette Angeline Dufresne:  born 11 Jan 1880 in Cohoes, Albany, New York.
  • Dolor B. Dufresne:  born 1883/4 in New York; married Marie Flora Perreault (Aduram & Marie Garand) 5 Jun 1912, and had six children:  William, Marie, Violet, Dorothy, Emmett, and Richard.
  • David H. Dufresne:  born Nov 1888 in New York.

    David married Aglae Daragon in Chambly.  It is possible that there is another brother, Raymond.  Emélien, Joseph, and Raymond all immigrated to New York.  In 1880, Joseph was living with Emélien.  There may be two more marriages for David, to Clemence Foy and Celina Daragon.

    Augustin married Appoline Dyon in Verchères and she died before 1886.  He then married Azilda Robert on 21 Feb 1886 in Beloeil.  Children are from Augustin and Appoline.

  • Joseph Hubert:  born in Québec, Canada; he married Marie Emélie Beaudry (Jean Baptiste & Louise Gaudry) 4 Mar 1878 in St-Dominique, Bagot, Québec, Canada.  The following children were married in St-Dominique:  Joseph (Alma Meunier 7 Oct 1901), Angélina (Florendo Martin 21 Apr 1913), Corinne (Joseph Lebrun 22 May 1916).
  • Georgiana Hubert:  born in Québec, Canada; married Hormidas Elie Beaudry (Jean Baptiste & Louise Gaudry) 21 Jan 1879 in St-Dominique, Bagot, Québec, Canada.  Marriage record listed as Georgina.
  • Xiste Hubert:  born in Québec, Canada; he married Odile Vincent (Joseph & Odile Lemieux) 17 Jan 1882 in St-Dominique, Bagot, Québec, Canada.  Marriage record listed him as Existe.  I have been given the following marriages of their children; in Amesbury, Essex, Massachusetts, Eva (Ernest Ouelette 7 Sep 1909); in La Nativité de Montréal, Edmond ( Antoinette Plourde 16 Apr 1917); in St-Wenceslas de Nicolet, Joseph (Eveline Plourde 8 Jun 1915); and in St-Léonard de Nicolet, Augustin (Amanda Duval 30 Oct 1917), Hormidas (Marie Azélie Comeau 11 Oct 1910), Rose Alma (Joseph Comeau, Azélie's brother, 7 Jan 1908), and Zéphirine (Wilfrid Dumaine 26 Apr 1915).
  • Eméry Hubert:  born in Québec, Canada; he married Marie Rosanna Cordeau (Ludger & Zoé Vincent) in St-Dominique, Bagot, Québec, Canada.  Marriage record listed them as Emérie & Hosanna.  I have been told that they had a son, Ovide who married Marie Anne Leda Lacasse 16 Aug 1915 in Waterville, Maine.  That marriage listed Ovide as from Augusta, Maine and Annie from Winslow, Maine.

    • François & Charlotte Daragon's Children


    François married Charlotte Champoux in Verchères.  The last name of Daragon was known to Pauline Provost as "D'Aragon."  She felt she favored a photo of a D'Aragon woman she saw in the paper and was told they were related.  Aglae was listed as "Deragon" in her marriage document.  François was the only Daragon marriage listed at St-Mathieu-de-Beloeil in Verchères.  Births are listed by order of marriage dates.  Some Deragon's married Dufresne's in Chambly.

    Antoine married Cécile Lemonde in Verchères.  This Hubert dit Lagrenade line had many marriages in the parish of Beloeil.  Births are listed by order of marriage dates.

    Alexis married Charlotte Brodeur in Verchères.  Many Brodeur's lived there in the parish of Beloeil.  Alexis is of the Guyon dit Lemoine line.  His daughter, Appoline, was listed as Dyon in her marriage record, and Dion in her daughter's.  Clement and Adeline were listed as Yon's in their marriage records.  Births are listed by order of marriage dates.
