THE COMMEMORATION of the LAST MISSION

On 15th May 2011 the last mission of Liberator KH158 was commemorated in the grounds of Faggio Rotondo, home of Cesare Mancuso and Bianca Barletta. Situated above the village of Neirone in the Ligurian mountains Faggio Rotondo was once the headquarters of the local partisans and lies in the wartime "Morris "drop zone area. It is now part of the "alta via dei monti liguri" - a mountain hiking route.
A marble plaque listing the names of the crew was positioned on the wall of the "Round House" in the grounds and this was unveiled by crew relatives Anne Storm and Martin Urry.

Sandro Vazon helped in the organisation of the event and with Beppe Barbero arranged for the plaque to be made and placed on the wall..
