One way to keep track of wandering ancestors is to use "Cluster" research, which is basically being aware of who your ancestors neighbors are. Often times if you are having a problem locating one of your people you find that they are living near someone they lived near in another county or state. Using this method also helps in creating a migration pattern. In the case of the Storms family it is clear that at least 4 families moved from the same area in New York to the same area in Ohio, Storms, Taft, Lightner & Rima. This must have been a fairly large group of people considering the fact that Isaac's two sons, Richard & David, and daughter Sabrina were married and had families of their own at the time of the migration. Also, since we know that Isaac Storms married Martha Hilton, sister of Peter Hilton we find Isaac originally lived near Peter Hilton in Oneida County (the neighboring county to Oswego) along with Isaac & Peter, we see the Taft surname and George Lightner.
