The following document is all that Dr. Stubbs found about Samuel Kirk:
Know all men by these presents:
That I, Samuel Kirk, of West Nottingham, son of Roger Kirk, of the same place, in the County of Chester, and Province of Pennsylvania, have had and received the day of the date hereof, of and from my mother, Elizabeth Kirk, the widow and sole executrix of the last will and testament of my father, Roger Kirk, the full and just sum of twenty pounds, given and bequeathed unto me by my father, according and agreeable to his last will and testament, which sum of twenty pounds I acknowledge myself fully satisfied, and give this as a full discharge of all demands whatsoever.
Witness my hand and seal, this seventh day of December, one thousand seven hundred and sixty-nine.
