Amanda St. Sure Kimball
Elise and Adolph’s daughter Amanda was born in America on November 19, 1847. The 1850 US Census has her name as “Amanda St. Sure”, age 3, born in Wisconsin. According to the letter of Jeannette Andrews, Amanda’s married name was Kimball. ([sts0122.jpg]) Jeannette St. Cyr Andrews writes that her name was Amanda and writes her last name, which is hard to read, but appears to be Kimball, and that she believes she was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin.
When Elise went back to Sweden with the girls, and eventually back again to the US. (only Josephine stayed be behind in Sweden and married there, then later came back to the US)
In 1850 she returned with her mother to Sweden, one of the four of the children who went back with her, and they lived during that year in Hasslöv. She was one of the three of those four children who returned with her mother to the United States thereafter, date unknown, but at least by the Federal Census of 1860 because it shows that the whole family was then living in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where Lindsfelt’s name is listed as St. S. Lindsfelt.
I only searched the name St. Sure for the 1880 and 1920 Census, I need to go back and look for other last names.
