Jims Spaghetti
3 lbs hamburger, cooked, drained, and chopped
2 med. chopped onions
1 pkg. sliced fresh mushrooms
2 cloves minced garlic
Saut� the onions and mushrooms in a little oleo
Mix with the meat.
Sauce:
For each can of tomato sauce used add 1-tsp. sugar to cut down on acid.
2 large cans tomato sauce
1 can tomatoes with chilies
1/2 cup finely chopped bell pepper
Italian seasoning to taste
Garlic salt to taste
1 can sliced tomatoes
Mix above with meat and simmer slow for a couple of hours, adding water or tomato
sauce as needed until the taste suits you and the mixture is rather thickened.
Cook spaghetti noodles in boiling, buttered salt water until done, rinse .
Either serve on the side with sauce or combine and simmer until flavors are well
blended. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese garlic salt and enjoy... this is the way his Mom
remembers his cooking the dish.
