Robert shown here had three brothers living nearby Isaac Summers, William Summers and James Summers. These brothers lived in the nearby parish to the south of Bremhill. All these brothers were the children of Issac Summers (Born Bremhill 1774) and Anna Broadhurst (Born Bremhill 1777).

Avon was part of the parish of Christian Malford until around 1884, 1885 when it became part of the Bremhill parish. Its located a couple of miles south of the parish church of All Saints in Christian Malford and about three and a half miles North-East of Chippenham.
