1839--Hamilton Stier buys house and property from Ormond Hammond, a distant cousin of both Hamilton and his wife Harriet Hammond

At the request of Hamilton Stier the following deed is recorded the 30th day of April 1839.  This indenture made this twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred and thirty nine between Ormond Hammond of Frederick County State of Maryland and Hamilton Stier of said county and State of the other part.--Witnesseth: that the said Ormond Hammond for ante in consideration of the sum of two thousand dollars current money to him in hand paid by the said Hamilton Stier the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath given, granted, bargained and sold, released and confirmed, and by these presents doth for himself his heirs give, grant, bargain,. sell, release, and confirm unto the said Hamilton Stier his heirs and assigns forever.  All the following described lots of ground in New Market, viz. front lot no. twenty five and back lot no. ninety two, together with the appurtenances and all the estate, rights, ____, and premises with the appurtenances and every part thereof, -- (legal language continues; not transcribed)

1851--Hamilton mortgages the house to his first cousin Joseph Wood to pay his creditors

1852--Joseph Wood sells the mortgage (or the property?) to Isaac and Margaret Wright
