- 14 Apr. 1760, "In the Name of God Amen I Lewis Igon of the County of Baltimore in the Province of Maryland being weak in Body, but of Perfect mind and Memory praised be almighty God do hereby make and declare my last Will & Testament in manner following that is to Say First and Principally I Comend my Soul into the Hand of Almighty God my Creator my Body I Comd to the Earth in hopes of a Joyful Resurrection to be ... by my Executors hereafter named and as touching such temporal Estate as God hath been Pleased to bless me with I give Devise and Bequeath as followeth Vizt Imprimis I direct order and appoint that all such Just Debts as I shall owe at the Time of my Decease together with my General Expenses shall be first fully Paid and Satisfied. Item I give devise & Bequeath unto my beloved Wife Mary one third part of my Estate in full of her Dower one third according to Law. Item I give devise and Bequeath all that my Dwelling Plantation and lands Called Friends Discovery with the Buildings Hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging Except as aforesaid unto my Loving Son Daniel Igon his heirs and assigns forever Provided always and my Will and mind is and I do hereby declare that the aforesaid Lands & Premises given and devised unto my said son Daniel and his heirs as aforesaid is upon this Express Condition nevertheless that he my said son Daniel or his heirs shall well and truly pay or Cause to be paid within Twelve months after my decease unto my Loving Son Peter Igon or his assigns Five Pounds Sterling any thing aforesaid to the Contrary thereof notwithstanding.
