- Born: Between 1776 and 1781, , , Virginia, USA
- Marriage (1): NEWTON, Ebenezer Buchanan on 23 Mar 1803 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, USA
- Died: 1863
Noted events in her life were:
- 10 Sep 1850 she appeared as Eleanor Newton, age 69, wife of Ebenezer, born in Virginia on the census in Deep Creek, Macon County, North Carolina, USA. 1 Household #398
- In Apr 1863 she signed a will . 2 According to Ted Newton "Eleanor entered a will in April, 1863, and died shortly thereafter at age 87. Solomon Newton, her son, and Narcisa Cline, wife of George W. Cline were caring for her after the death of her husband Ebenezer B. "Ebe" Newton. Her will leaves her estate to these two people. Narcisa was Solomon's daughter. It appears that her oldest son, William Newton, was dead, her will also states that she inherited from the estate of William Newton as well as Ebe Newton, her husband. This William was her son, because her father-in-law, William Newton, left only one dollar to her husband, Ebe Newton, and nothing was said, in his will, leaving anything to Eleanor.
She had outlived two of her sons, John and William; even Solomon did not live long after his mother's death."
Eleanor married Ebenezer Buchanan NEWTON, son of William NEWTON [146317866] and Margaret BUCHANAN, on 23 Mar 1803 in Lincoln County, North Carolina, USA. (Ebenezer Buchanan NEWTON was born on 28 Sep 1779 in Cleveland, North Carolina and died between 1861 and 1863 in , Rutherford County, North Carolina, USA.)
