Mr. Glasscock died Thursday, July 19, 2018 at his residence in Lindale. He was born in Lindale on January 9, 1928 to the late Jim and Bell (Edwards) Glasscock. Mr. Glasscock served in the United States Army, was a member of the Lindale Assembly of God and served as a past deacon. He enjoyed gardening, reading the Bible, spending time with family and giving away pecans. Mr. Glasscock worked for Tyler Pipe for 30 years retiring in 1988. He was preceded in death by his son, Tommy Lynn Glasscock in 1994, 14 brothers and sisters, 1 grandchild, Brittany Glasscock, and 1 great grandchild. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Mary Glasscock of Lindale; daughter, Mary Applegate and husband, J.W. of Lindale; son, Gary Glasscock and wife, Michelle of Whitehouse; 7 grandchildren, Shane Rose, Andrea Glasscock, Josh Glasscock, Tyson Glasscock, Amber Mink, Jorden Glasscock, and Landon Glasscock, 9 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Glasscock, Tyson Glasscock, Landon Glasscock, R.B. Glasscock, Shane Rose, and Marty Cheney. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2018 at the Caudle-Rutledge-Daugherty Funeral Home in Lindale.
