Michael Nardozzi and Clara Caputo

Michael Nardozzi was born in Italy about 1871. He married Clara Caputo. Clara came to America when she was 9 years old. Her parents were Nicola Caputo and Archangela. They lived in Potenza, Basilicata, Italy and came to America in 1897. In 1920, "Michial Nardozzo," then 49, was living with his family at 178 Vidette Street.

    Murphy and Assunta had Archangel, Nicholas, Mary, and Francis (Frank). Murphy and Assunta's son Frank married Jennie Lombardo and had six children:

    (4)  Louis Caputo,
    (5)  Mary Caputo-Kamerer - [email protected] and
    (6)  Susan Caputo Dearden. Susan married Joseph Dearden, son of Maria Dascenzo and William Dearden.

  1. Michael and Clara's oldest child was Carmen F. Nardozzi who was born about 1905 in Pennsylvania. Carmen's children were Michael and Clara "Toots" Nardozzi Fedishen. Carmen died in 1967. His obituary read:

    On Monday, Dec. 25, 1967, Carmine J. of 529 Fieldstone Dr., Monroeville, beloved husband of Caroline Solomon; father of Mrs. Clara Fedishen and Michael J.; son of Mrs. Clara and the late Michael Nardozzi; brother of Anthony, Mrs. Lucy Vento, Samuel, Mrs. Angel Angelo, Patsy of Calif., Michel, Mrs. Ruby Sebastian and Nick; also two grandchildren, Patti and Michael Fedishen. Friends will be received at the WILLIAM F. GROSS FUNERAL HOME, 11735 Frankstown Rd. (at Rodi Rd.), Penn Hills. Funeral Saturday at 9 a.m. Requiem High Mass at St. Bernadette's church at 10:00 a.m. Visitation with the family 1 to 5 and 7 to 10 p.m.

  2. Michael and Clara's second child was Anthony Matthew Nardozzi [May 4, 1906 - June 7, 1983]. Michael married Marion Elizabeth Sepp [November 27, 1909 - May 23, 1988], daughter of William Sepp and Mary Alexander on February 2, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Anthony and Marion "Elizabeth" had four children: Anthony, Jr., Patrick, Dorothy and Helen "Heather." Heather married J. Thomas McAdams, and is the mother of David J. McAdams.

    Anthony died in 1983. His obituary read:

Wylie Funeral Home, 10985 Frankstown Rd., Penn Hills. Mass of Christian Burial Mother of Good Council Church Fri., 10 a.m. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9.

  3. Michael and Clara's third child was Lucy M. Nardozzi. Lucy Vento died in November, 2001. Her obituary read:

    Age 93, of Penn Hills, wife of the late John A. Vento; mother of the late Joanne Vento Ross; grandmother of John Ross, Linda Ross Eazor and Joseph Ross; great-grandmother of Shelsi, Shane and Haley Eazor. Friends received Wednesday, 10am-11am, at Mother of Good Counsel Church, St. Charles Lwanga Parish, with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11am.   4. Michael and Clara's fourth child was Samuel Nardozzi [December 17, 1909 - March 1968].

  5. Michael and Clara's fifth child was Pasqua Nardozzi who was born about 1913. Patsy Nardozzi passed away on Feb. 17, 2001 in California and he was 88.

  6. Michael and Clara's sixth child was Archangel Nardozzi [Angelo]. [January 14, 1915 - June 10, 1998].

  7. Michael and Clara's seventh child was Clara Nardozzi who was born about 1917. Clara passed away when she was in her late twenties.

  8. Michael and Clara's eighth child was Michael Nardozzi [January 18, 1919 - April 12, 1995].

  9. Michael and Clara's ninth child was Ruby Nardozzi [May 24, 1921 - October, 1992].

  10. Michael and Clara's tenth child was Nicholas Nardozzi [July 22, 1924 - October 1984]. Nicholas married Isabel R. Kuba. Isabel died in 1985. Her obituary read:

    Isabel R. (Kuba) on Aug 7, 1985, wife of the late Nicholas; sister of Robert C., James E., and Frank David. Friends received the Findlay C. Wylie III Funeral Home, 2300 Leechburg Road, North Bessemer (783-4730) where a blessing service will be held Sat Aug 10 1985 at 9 a.m. Visitation 2-4 & 7-9.
