Taskers in Australia
James Tasker, born about 1785 in Oxfordshire, was tried at the Berkshire Assizes for stealing a pig. Found guilty, has was transported to Tasmania in 1820. He may have left a family behind in England, but he then married Mary Smythe who'd come from Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland in 1831 and they had 4 children.
