Tasker Family History - Japan

Taskers in Japan

There don't seem to be many Taskers in Japan, but author Peter Tasker seems to be making up for that on his own. Born in 1955 in Swansea, Wales, Peter has a degree from Oxford University and moved to Tokyo in early 1983 to become financial analyst for Dresdner Kleinwort Benson. He was voted top market analyst by Japanese investors for five years in a row. In 1998, he founded Arcus Investment, a London-based money management company and in 2000 he became a director of Paris Miki, Japan’s largest retailer of spectacles.
His first book on Japanese culture, Inside Japan, was published in 1987. He continued writing nonfiction books until 1992 when his first fiction novel, Silent Thunder, was published to rave reviews. This was followed-up with the much acclaimed Buddha Kiss in 1997, Samurai Boogie in 1999 and Dragon Dance in 2003. Find out more here and buy his books at Amazon
