Taskers in Cornwall There are only 21 Taskers listed in Cornwall on the IGI, and several of these are repeat entries. The earliest Tasker event was the birth of Humphrey & Dorothy Tasker's daughter Margaret in 1695 at Sancreed, a village near Penzance. Margaret went on to marry Methusalah Matthew in 1722 at the nearby village of Saint Buryan, and died on 20 Jan 1788 at Saint Levan, just a few miles south of Land's End. Curiously a Methusalah Tasker, born about 1730-40, went on to marry Sarah Blench in Saint Levan: he seems to have adopted his mother's surname, if the IGI records are correct.
