Taskers in Derbyshire

Of the 70 Derbyshire Taskers listed on the IGI, the earliest are the children of John Tasker of Repton, who must have been born about 1560 or so. Son John was christened on 27 October 1583, followed by William on 6 May 1586 and Joseph on 2 September 1593. The IGI records then take a break for a century or so, but there then seem to be Taskers spread all over Derbyshire by the mid 1800s, including Bolsover, Chesterfield, Glossop, Melbourne, Newbold, and Normanton.
