Tasker Family History - Huntingdonshire

Taskers in Huntingdonshire

Once one of the smallest counties in England, and now part of Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon boasts 26 Tasker records on the IGI. Apart from William Tasker, born about 1665 in Ramsey, a small town ten miles north of Huntingdon, who married Sarah Hodson on 12 October 1690, there are no other Taskers listed in Huntingdonshire until the 1800s.

Then there were Taskers in Hilton, Hemingford-Abbots, Godmanchester and Fen Stanton. As these villages are all within a 5-mile radius, it seems they could all be part of a single Tasker clan. Any more information will be greatfully received!
