Taskers in Staffordshire

Seven of the 40 IGI records for Taskers in Staffordshire are of Elnor Tasker, who married Nicholas Banks on 12 June 1598 at Walsall. Sadly she died less than two years later on 7 April 1600. There is then a gap of 70 years or so until a Tasker clan developed at Burton on Trent, the children of John and Elizabeth Tasker.

And apparently not connected to anywhere else, Thomas Tasker married Ann Snow on 20 Sep 1674 at Adbaston, a village on the west of Staffordshire, not far form Market Drayton in Shropshire.

The remainder of the Staffordshire Taskers are from Blakenhall Heath (now a suburb of Wolverhampton), Shenstone, Rushall and Burntwood, where two Tasker brothers from Warwickshire settled in the second half of the 1800s.
