Valley View is located about 9 miles south of Gainesville on I35.    The new cemetery is also located on I35 as you approach from the north.   The OLD Valley View Cemetery, however, is northwest of the town off of old Hwy 77, on private property.  In 1978, when last surveyed, the cemetery was described as being very old, abandoned, and in poor condition.   Many sunken gravesites with no stones as well as many graves marked only with fieldstones were found.
