BIOGRAPHY: Settled in Durham where he raised his family and farmed. He attended the West Oxford reform meeting of 16 Nov. 1837 and after the urging of others to participate in William Lyon MacKenzie's Rebellion of 1837, fled the province in 1838, and eventually returned thereafter.
