Marriage Notes (Marie Alta Humphrey)

It is at present unknown where Levi Wesson and Marie Alta married but they lived for a time in Sterling, CO at 127 Platte Street.
Levi died of cancer of the larynx in the 1940's and from their Marie moved to Longmont and then to Denver where she owned and operated a boarding house in the old Belvoir Hotel.
Marie lived at 523 Emery St in Longmont prior to moving to Denver. At present it is believed that both Levi and Marie are buried in Longmont, CO.

Leonard Smith and Julie Chandler visited the Logan County courthouse in Sterling Colorado to determine the location and duration of the residence of Levi and Marie Alta Park.
Levi and Marie Alta Park purchased the residence at 1127 Platte, in Sterling, on June 20, 1923. The legal description of the residence is "All of lot seven, block twelve, Packards Addition to Sterling."
Records were also found that indicate that they owned an additional property at 301 Platte Street, Sterling, Colorado. The Deed indicates that the property was sold to Marie Alta Park only. This event occurred on May 20, 1922. There is no indication as to whether there was a home on this property or not.
On March 2, 1942 Levi Park sold his interest in the property at 127 Platte to his wife, Marie Alta. Levi may have done this during his illness with cancer. At the time of this sale Both Levi and Marie are indicated on the Deed being of Boulder County, Colorado. No city of residence is noted. However it is known that Marie is known to live at 523 Emery in Longmont, Colorado. Longmont is in Boulder County. It does seem that they moved to Longmont prior to Levi's death from cancer.
This property was subsequently sold to Frank A. Mentgen by Marie A. Park on February 10, 1944.
