He was brobably born in Lincolnshire, as he called himself a "Lincolnshire gentleman." He was denied a Royal loan in 1627 because he defied Charles.
He was one of the 1st proprietors of Cambridge Village. He was a large land owner. He purchased 600 acres from Pastor Shepard. Some of the land he owned is now part of Harvard. He was constable in 1656 and on the committee (with Ed & John Jackson) to lay out highways to Cambridge Farms (Lexington) in 1657.
In his will dated July 12, 1665 he provided for wife, Sarah, 2 daughters and son Thomas. He was of Cambridge Village.

Gertrude; Since I first placed that posting, I have been able to determine that Oren was married and had most of his family in or near Oneida, Madison County, NY. At least one of his sons, Charles Betham Park, was born or moved to near Unionville, Union County, Ohio, where he and his wife had a family.
There doesn't appear to be any direct connection to New Jersey or Canada, but I haven't done much looking at Oren or his wife's ancestry yet. I did receive information in an email stating that "Oren is an 8th generation descendant of Richard Parke who came to Massachusetts in 1635 aboard the
DEFENCE. This family is among the PARK/E/S that we are researching, and is listed in Frank S. Parks' "Genealogy of the PArke Families of Massachusetts", 1909, Page 147."
If your ancestors are descended from the same line, I would expect they may be listed there as well, being so much closer in time period. I am presently trying to locate a descendant of the family who may want to reclaim the bible to "resurrect" as an heirloom or for the genealogical information. Hopefully, they would agree to my posting the scanned pages on this board.
