Hallie V. Powers of Cadillac died Saturday, March 23, 1991 at Fulton Medical Care Center in Perrinton. She was 83.
Mrs. Powers was born April 13, 1907 in Dighton to William Edgar Smith and Vernie Dell Smith. She married Cliff Moored in 1926. She married Edward F. Powers on Sept 7, 1957 in Cadillac.
Mrs. Powers had been living at the Sumner Foster Care Home near Perrinton for the past two years. She lived in Cadillac most of her life, working for several stores in the downtown business district. She had also worked several years at Mercy Hospital. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she had also taught Sunday school for the past several years.
She is survived by a daughter, Wilda (Mrs. Hugh) Adams of Perrinton; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward on February 6, 1982, and a daughter. Helen D. Holland, on April 15, 1983.
Services are at 1pm Tuesday at the Peterson Funeral Home in Cadillac, the Rev. David L. McMahon officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.
