William Hardin Crouch 4 (John 3, John 2, Richard 1) was born 28 Oct 1804, VA; died 8 Jan 1874, Williamson Co., TN; buried at Franklin City Cemetery, Williamson Co., TN[1] ; married (1) Eliza H. Stone, 5 Dec 1832, Williamson Co., TN. She was born 11 Nov 1811; died 31 Mar 1849, Williamson Co., TN with burial in the Franklin City Cemetery, Williamson County, TN. (2) Lucy W. Carter, 9 May 1852, Williamson Co., TN. Lucy was born 9 Jan 1811; died 10 Aug 1868; buried at Rest Haven Cemetery, Williamson Co., TN. The Goodspeed article on this man was in a reprinted book without the original publication date, but from information in the book on another family, it was published after Nov 1884[2]   Note: William Harden Crouch's middle name was most likely in honor of his Uncle Harding Crouch who settled in Montgomery County, TN.

Crouch 5, born 19 Feb 1834, TN; died 17 Jan 1922, Williamson Co., TN[3] with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Franklin, Williamson County, TN.; married Charles Stone, 29 Aug 1852, Williamson Co., TN. He was born 13 July 1827; died 6 Jan 1896, Williamson Co., TN.[4] Both are buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery.

2. William Hardin Crouch 5, born 10 Nov 1835, TN; died after the 1880's Goodspeed article[2]; married Mollie M. Hodge, 21 Oct 1857, Williamson Co., TN. She was born 28 July 1838; died 3 June 1862.[4]

3. John Hendley Crouch 5, born 8 Sept 1837, TN; died 22 June 1858, Williamson Co., TN.[5] with burial in the Franklin City Cemetery, Franklin, Williamson Co., TN.

4. Peter Williams Crouch 5, born 31 Aug 1839, TN; died 19 Feb 1913, Williamson Co., TN[3] with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Franklin County, TN.; married Josie Anderson, after 1860. She was born c1849; died 22 Feb 1922, Williamson Co., TN.[3] with burial in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Franklin, Williamson County, TN.

5. Barton Stone Crouch 5, born 25 Sept 1840/1842, TN; died 24 July 1850,[6] Williamson Co., TN.

6. Charles W. Crouch 5, born 3 Aug 1843, TN; died 13 Oct 1872, Williamson Co., TN.[5] with burial in the Franklin City Cemetery, Williamson County, TN.  Loose records in the TN State Archives state that he died of "continued dissapation."

7. Eliza Jane Crouch 5, born 2 Feb 1846, TN; died 24 Feb 1911; buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Williamson Co.[3]; married Robert H. North, 27 Feb 1868, Williamson Co., TN. He was born 5 Jan 1840; died 10 Jan 1896, Williamson Co., TN.[3] Robert served with Co. D, 1st TN Inf, CSA. Six of their children are listed in the Guardian Records for Williamson County, TN.  [7]

Sec. 10. Be it enacted, That Randal McGavock, John Marshall, Richard Allexander, Samuel Crocket, Andrew Park, James Park, Joseph W. Baugh, William H. Crouch, Ewin Cameron, Fountain B. Carter, William Johnson, John W. Miller, Thomas Park, Michael Doyle, Francis T. Reed, Ferdinand Stith, Thomas L. Robinson, Andrew B. Ewing, Daniel McPhail, John D. Taylor, B. Reese, Thos. K. Handy, Andrew Johnson, C.A. Murrell, L. H. Wooldridge, Eli McGan, Wm. Park, Hugh Dempsey, Thomas W. Warren, R.G. Richardson,Samuel Bochens, Thos. B. White, R.C. Foster jr. and Nicholas Perkins, or any three of them shall be , and they are hereby authorized to open books of subscription at such time and place as may be designated, in a newspaper in the town of Franklin, for at least ten days, and as soon as fifty thousand dollars shall be subscribed, the stockholders shall convene, after public notice in like manner for at least ten days, and proceed to the election of directors - twenty shares shall render any shareholder eligible as a director.
