Obituary

Clarence Tilden Crouch, 87, a native of Todd County, died at 8:30 a.m. today at a Clarksville nursing home after an extended illness.

Mr. Crouch was a native of Kentucky and was born on December 24, 1876. He spent most of his life in Clarksville and was a retired real estate dealer and a principle in the F. & C. Insurance Company in Clarksville, he had made his home in Clarksville the past 70 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clarksville for the past 60 years and he served as a deacon for more than 50 years.

His wife Hester Watts Crouch preceded him in death in 1943.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. D. A. (Maggie) Hurt, of the Fairview-Pembroke Road, and several nices and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Tuesday, at Tarpley Funeral Home, Clarksville. Officiating will be his pastor, the Rev. John David Laida. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Murry Hawkins, Wayne Hall, Sidney Outlaw, Walton Smith, Frank Wenzler and Garnett Ladd Sr. Honorary pallbearers will be the board of deacons and advisory board and members of the Baraca Class of the First Baptist Church.
